Is it Your Goldilocks Panty?
A woman with a mission to improve people’s lives by creating and selling undergarments that stop embarrassing leaks founded PantyProp in 2015. Crystal Etienne spent years testing products for the best design and security technology for period underwear.
PantyProp leak-proof underwear comes in an enormous range of colors and patterns compared to a lot of other period panty brands. You can wear them alone or with a pad, cup or tampon.
How They Work
PantyProp panties offer absorbency all on their own, but they also have a special type of mesh panel built into the crotch of the panties that helps to keep a standard-sized menstrual pad in place so that it doesn’t move around. They suggest that you use their panty with their reusable double-sided pads.
Layers:
PantyProp has two layers:
- Dri-fit mesh that’s made to hold a pad in place
- A layer of absorbent cotton.
They don’t use any PUL.
Absorbency:
Heavy: All PantyProp menstrual underwear and swimwear should absorb 2.5 tampons worth of fluid.
Care:
PantyProp panties and swimwear can be machine washed and dried on low heat, and they’re expected to last up to three years.

PantyProp Customer Reviews
The reviews of PantyProp all say they work as intended. PantyProp says their undies have a four-way stretch and should feel “comfortably snug,” but some people felt that they squeezed too much, like a pair of Spanx. The other main issue seems to be that the absorbent part is only in the crotch and doesn’t extend up to the front or back waistband in any of these panties.
“I do know that if anyone is considering PantyProp, it will 100% be worth it.” – Kathryn L., HelloGiggles.com Review
“Overall, I like the concept, but the actual product should have the waterproof layer extended more to the front and back of the underwear.” – MT, MenstrualCupReviews.net Review
“All I cared about was if they worked, and they def did. I hate being at work worrying about stains, I work outside as a police officer and sometimes it is difficult to change often. They work.” – Kaliana, MenstrualCupReviews.net
PantyProp Final Say
PantyProp leak-proof underwear is designed with the pad-wearer in mind, so if that’s you, you should definitely check these out. The mesh pocket will hold a standard-sized pad in place, so it won’t slide or cause chafing.
These panties come in a huge assortment of colors, so you can get the color you want or a whole bunch of colors if you’re the type of girl who likes to match her undies to her outfit. They offer tons of swim options, which is pretty cool, too.
Their return policy is strict; you can only get a full refund if they’ve sent you the wrong product by mistake. You can potentially make an exchange, but it can take up to 30 days for them to complete it. To avoid the need for exchanges or returns, PantyProp provides detailed sizing info on their site, with instructions on where to measure your body to make sure you get the right size.
They don’t work – ordered four pairs and they all leaked. Customer service didn’t stand by product and blocked me on social media. BAD company! Reported to BBB
They have terrible customer service! Please save yourself the money and learn from my mistake. Don’t bother ordering from them 🙁 I wish they had worked… we’d be happily buying more pairs if they were willing to help even a smidge. However, not responding to emails for 2 months, finally giving me a number via facebook, blocking me from commenting on facebook when I wasn’t even rude in my comment, and offering an exchange for swimwear once it’s no longer swim season all while blaming me for their poor customer service. Trust me, find another company with a comparable product.
I ordered a bundle of 4 underwear from Ruby Love. The first thing I noticed when receiving these was the awkward mesh netting around the edges of the padded part of the underwear. As there are no photos online showing the inner padded bit of the underwear specifically, I thought I was mislead, and bought period underwear that strictly required one of their reusable pads to go in them. I went back on their website and read that they can be used with or without the pads, which still seemed weird to me, but I tried them on anyways. After wearing them for one day, I could noticeably feel the mesh lining, particularly at the top of the padded bit, where the mesh lining joins to form a thick seam – this was quite uncomfortable and irritated my skin.
Furthermore, after putting them in the wash, I noticed the padded inner layer of the underwear was not sewn into the garment. It had become all tangled, clumped and folded up under the fabric, and I struggled to flatten it out again. This was also not specified online, so again I felt mislead.
I wrote to Ruby Love and asked why these problems had risen, and if they could offer any feedback, or ideally some sort of refund or exchange. They were very negligent and simply told me to read the refund policy, and refused to provide any information or advice on the problems I was experiencing with my garment, and would not allow me to return my product. I decided to comment on their Facebook and Instagram page to warn others of their negligence, and they proceeded to delete my comments and block me… Very frustrating dealing with them, wish I could get my money back. Would recommend Thinx or ModiBodi instead for great undies !
I ordered a 4 pack of period underwear and when I received them they were a full size too small. Beware that their size chart does not match the label on the underwear. The underwear also has a gusset for removable pads that they sell. This is not a feature that they picture on their website and if you are not into a mesh gusset rubbing against your privates you are out of luck because they apparently don’t offer refunds for any circumstance. I was offered to exchange, so I chose a different style hoping for a better fit. There was a price difference and they agreed to credit me the difference. Today I received just one pair of underwear and the label on the underwear is a different than the first pair I ordered even though I ordered the same size. The other color I ordered is out of stock and there is only one color to choose for replacement. Customer service has yet to respond to me. I did not receive mt credit either.
Horrible company Ruby Love are scammers. February order still haven’t received exchange! No replies customer service is non existent.
I’m going to post this everywhere. So others can be aware, and research and make an informed decision. This is my experience. Please if anyone is looking into buying menstrual panties DO NOT USE Ruby Love AKA Panty Prop. I have waited over a month for an order I placed back in March. I emailed the company several times asking for an update or a tracking number.. info on where my order is… NOTHING they have failed to respond. I then ended up opening a Paypal claim hoping to get their attention, nope no response to the claim no response to my inquiry. I found them on Facebook today alive and well making posts, but still could not be bothered to answer my emails for support. So I called them out on their website page in the comments section. They then deleted my comment and blocked me from being able to comment on their page. How is that for transparency? Real professional! I then called them and received a blanket response claiming because they are in New York they were effected the most by the pandemic and they apologize but shipping times are delayed. I asked why this was not conveyed to me when I had messaged them several times, why they failed to respond to me, why I had to call them out on FB before they would respond to me? She tells me she is sorry but they are short staffed. She tells me that they do not offer refunds at all under any circumstances and because a claim with Paypal was opened they aren’t shipping the items. So you mean to tell me after almost 2 months of waiting the package never even shipped? I didn’t make the Paypal claim till after waiting over a month. I said good I do not want them I ALREADY REPLACED THEM FROM ANOTHER COMPANY I WANT MY REFUND. She tells me they don’t give refunds. I ask so you mean to tell me you had not shipped my item at all in over a month, you failed to respond to any of my inquiry’s about my order, and then you will keep my money and your product? How is that fair? She just repeats that they don’t issue refunds for any reason. I said that is theft you can not keep someones money and not send them the product. I want a refund. Then I get placed on hold and eventually another female comes on the phone sounds like a fat smoker breathing heavy into the phone with her raspy voice talking loud, I ended up having to cuss her out after the attitude she wanted to give to me. This company cares nothing for their customers and provide zero support, when you call them out on their s*** they will remove any bad reviews, make excuses for everything, then treat you rudely when you complain. This company is the most unprofessional POS I have dealt with this year. DO NOT INVEST YOUR MONEY INTO THEIR PRODUCTS. After waiting over a month with no product no response and no idea what is going on with my order I finally paid the higher price and bought from THINX who by the way is ALSO shipping from New York during the pandemic. Imagine that I received my order within a week from when I placed it from THINX and without having to contact them endlessly to know when it would be arriving. I was given a tracking number and knew what was going on every step of the way. Sometimes saving money on a product is not worth the hassle you have to deal with in the end I should have just chose THINX from the start. Be warned and look up reviews online from multiple sources before committing to an online purchase, I wish I had because I’m not the only one complaining.
The vision is brilliant, the customer service (took 3 weeks and 6+ attempts for me to get a response) and exchange policy (you pay all the shipping costs for exhanges & there are no returns FYI) are why I will not be a returning costumer. I should have paid more attention to all the other similar reviews I read…. Processing and shipping take up to a month. I wanted to support this company and vision, but alas will not be a returning customer.
TERRIBLE PRODUCT! TERRIBLE COMPANY! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. HORRIBLE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I WROTE THEM ABOUT SWIMWEAR SIZING AND NEVER RECIEVED A RESPONSE.
Despite referring to the sizing chart before I ordered, the four pairs I received fit small. I haven’t used them yet (just tried on one pair, briefly) so I can’t speak to their effectiveness, however, the gusset seems extremely short to me. Considering it’s the only part of the panty that is absorbent, I have a hard time believing they will be leak-proof. They are not really what I would consider full-coverage. I’m very disappointed.
I ordered a four pack of hipsters in size S/M from them back in August; my orderer totally $100. After waiting a month for the product to arrive it came and was simply labeled as S. It was so small I could barely even get it up past my thighs.
I emailed them about this and they informed me that they do not do refunds but would gladly exchange if I sent them back the product, I obliged and returned the product to them which cost me an extra $20. When the size Medium came back as the exchange (I truly didn’t think to even get a bigger size than that since I’ve never been larger than a medium) they still didn’t even remotely fit.
I contacted the company once more, this time fairly upset about my wasted time and money. They once again told me to send the items back for an exchange, I informed them that I was completely unwilling to spend ANOTHER $20 due to their sizing issues. After a few emails it seemed that the issue was resolved and I received an email thanking me for my purchase (which they told me would be free).
Two weeks later after not receiving any shipping information I emailed to check on the status of my items and was told that there had been some confusion and I was still expected to send back the product.
I am so angry I really wish I had done some further research before buying from them! Such a waste of time and money.
I placed an order on Dec. 8 and today is Dec. 30. I still don’t have the order. I emailed Ruby Love to cancel the order because it’s taking too long. Their reply was that I only had a 3 hour window to cancel the order. The next day, they sent me the shipment confirmation email, but as I suspected, when you click on the tracking info, the package hasn’t even been tendered to the USPS yet. It’s just “pre-shipment”. At this point, I’m just hoping to receive the order, hope they work for my daughter, and be done with this company. If the other reviewers are correct and the panties’ sizing is off when I receive this order, then I will be out $180 because this horrible company doesn’t give refunds. I don’t know how they’re allowed to scam consumers like this.
DO NOT BUY FROM RUBY LOVE aka Panty Pop!!!! Sizing is all over the place, they don’t stick to their own return and refund guidelines and customer service is obviously in NYC where everyone has a bad attitude! Just look at REAL reviews on places like BBB, these people have great marketing and a decent product, but they could care less about their customers. Thinx are a WAAAAAAY better product with real customer support!
